Mr. Jordan has been actively engaged in the practice of architecture for over 40 years. His practice has been highly diversified, covering a wide variety of project types both locally and abroad. His professional architectural experience has been greatly complemented by his construction background during the early years of his career. Mr. Jordan was the owner of a construction company engaging with projects throughout the Caribbean, he currently holds a General Contractor license in the State of Florida. As a forensic expert, he has been involved in a multitude of distressed projects across the nation helping to identify flawed responsibilities and defective work product and then assisting with the necessary actions to resolve the problems. In recent years, he has also been involved with construction program management and facility condition assessment for many multi-million dollar projects. Mr. Jordan’s architectural project management experience includes institutional (public and private) projects, single and multi-family residential projects and also spans a great variety of commercial and theme park projects. He has also been involved with several multi-million dollar retail developments. Mr. Jordan is also the President of HHCP Architects P.S.C. in Puerto Rico where he continues to engage in various high profile health care & leisure hospitality design projects. Both as a project architect and a forensic architect, Mr. Jordan has a proven ability to successfully orchestrate multi-disciplinary efforts to achieve a goal. In the realm of forensics, he brings strong and experienced leadership for complex cases that require extensive document review, analysis and credible presentations of expert opinions.

Mr. Charvat has focused the last 40 years of his career on project management and construction problem solving. Large buildings, complex projects and extensive building renovations have been his specialty. With his leadership, the HHCP CASE (Construction Analysis Support & Evaluation) Division provides professional services on non-HHCP projects involved in construction litigation claims. In addition to providing architectural services to correct building deficiencies, analysis of architect, engineer and/or contractor performance has been performed. Projects involved in this process have included condominiums, hospitals, commercial and educational facilities. Mr. Charvat has spent over 15 years of his professional life as the Architect of Record working full time including on site during construction on the Orange County Convention Center Orlando, Florida projects ranging in size from $50-$520 million. In addition, he has been the Architect of Record/Project Manager on the Shamu Whale Stadium at Sea World in Orlando, Florida, Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children in Tampa, Florida, the Jekyll Island, Georgia $50 million revitalization Project including creating a new Convention Center within a planned hotel/retail village as well as various schools, multi-family and commercial projects.

Mr. Charvat is a founding member of the Dispute Review Board Foundation, an international organization that provides guidance, training and education related to the use of Dispute Review Boards (DRBs). Mr. Charvat was a DRB Board member on completed DRB’s including the expansion of King County, (Seattle) Washington’s Harborview Medical Center’s 100 million dollar expansion. These boards were instrumental in projects being completed with no litigation involved.
Mr. Ehrig has over 40 years of diversified experience in architecture and the construction industry. He has a comprehensive understanding of planning, designing, developing and managing major building projects. As an Architect, he has managed the design and construction administration of projects from initial planning through owner occupancy. He has experience on projects in both the public and private sectors. His diverse background of project types spans from commercial facilities to airports, office buildings to educational facilities, multi-family residential buildings to single family homes. He has held management positions in all the firms in which he has practiced. Since 2007, he has been involved with providing expert witness consulting services for various litigation matters involving the architect’s standard of care, construction defects and premises liability cases. He has testified in several venues and has been certified an expert by several courts. Previously, Mr. Ehrig was Director of Building Development for the Viera Company, his responsibilities included the overview of all vertical development for the 38,000 acre master-planned community of Viera, Florida. He led the design effort and construction coordination oversight of over 500,000 square feet of office, retail and recreational buildings in addition to site-planning of various development opportunities. Serving as Senior Design Manager for the General Consultant on the Orlando International Airport’s North Terminal and Near Term Expansion programs, he coordinated and managed over 40 projects totaling more than $500 million. He has also worked with Orange County Public Schools as the Director of Strategic Planning on the multi-year $2.4 Billion Capital Improvement Program for the repair and replacement of over 136 existing and new schools.

As a testifying expert, John has been involved in cases related to the “Professional Standard of Care”, construction defects, and various claims related to the design and construction industry.
Mr. Matta has over 20 years of diverse experience in the architecture and construction fields. Throughout his career, he has worked as a registered architect, a construction attorney and an expert consultant. Prior to joining HHCP, Mr. Matta worked as a managing consultant in the global construction practice of a multinational firm, specializing in standard of care, construction defects, and construction contract compliance, among other areas, for large-scale construction projects throughout the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Before this, he worked for several years as a licensed attorney at a San Juan law firm managing cases related to breach of construction contract, differing site conditions, and surety claims, among others. He also drafted and negotiated contracts involving contractors, sureties, owners, operators and designers, for both public and private projects. However, Mr. Matta is first and foremost an architect. He has practiced as a registered architect for over 15 years, directing all aspects of the design and construction administration process for a multitude of projects throughout the Northeastern U.S. and the Caribbean. His experience includes institutional buildings, courthouses, educational facilities, commercial establishments, warehouses, residential developments and individual homes. Mr. Matta has served as an expert witness and consultant for construction disputes in state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and mediation forums in the U.S. and Latin America, rendering written opinions in issues related to permits, code compliance, accessibility, user perception, and construction related torts. Additionally, he has lectured in areas such as government contracting, administrative procedures, and differing site conditions.

As a CASE Manager, Vince Mastroeni has been directly involved with architectural design, production and construction administration for a wide variety of project types. The wealth of experience acquired over the years has equipped Vince with the skills to identify when a project has suffered from flawed responsibilities and then help deal with the resulting disputes and/or lawsuits. Areas where Vince is highly proficient include: dispute resolution efforts, identifying origin and nature of design and/or construction deficiencies, conducting building envelope evaluations, conducting peer reviews for interdisciplinary A/E coordination, extensive specialty knowledge in the area of ADA compliance and Property Condition Assessment projects. Mr. Mastroeni has over 32 years of professional experience in architectural design, project management / coordination, construction administration and forensic related work. His project coordination skills and technical knowledge of building systems allows him to efficiently evaluate design work and/or existing buildings for problematic issues. This knowledge, teamed with strong coordination and research skills, allows him to provide effective support services involved in disputes and/or litigation focusing on moisture intrusion, construction delay claims, design & construction deficiencies and ADA deficiency claims.
